Wild Foods and Wilderness
Melanie created Wild Foods because she has seen a huge interest in foraging and in eating clean on a budget. People are beginning to realize that nature provides and wild edible foods are in the woods, marshes and forests if you know what you're looking at.

Wild Foods teaches about and introduces alternatives to the normal vegetables and fruits you might see in stores and markets, Melanie's hands on approach will teach you the 18th Century history behind who bought them to the Americas, where to find them and how to prepare them, Some things you'll be surprised that you didn't know you could eat and some you wont know at all but will be happy to befriend.
Thunderhawk Living History School
History is awesome! Melanie lives in the Adirondack mountains which means she is bang in the center of a lot of the events in the 1700's onwards that ultimately created the United States. Mel created Thunderhawk Living History Program which teaches at schools and museums how life was for people of all races on the North Eastern Coast at the beginning of the 18 century.
"Teaching by doing" Melanie shows how to live with nature using both traditional and modern Bushcraft skills in a way that works to benefit both people and our environment. Knowledge of Wilderness Survival and Foraging Wild Food are key to any successful journey out into the wild
